biography

Schooled in Dayton - UD Prep which
became Chaminade, then UD and on to Harvard Medical School. Trained at the Peter Bent Brigham under Harvey Cushing and Elliot Cutler. Served in the US Army in WWII and was on the "second wave" of D-Day. Practiced surgery in Dayton mainly at Good Samaritan Hospital. Was very active in Optimist International and its President in 1953. Was a talented craftsman and woodworker but never shied from any project at home! |
