Having died and gone to heaven, I now teach on a University schedule which gives me a much longer summer. However it seems to fill up just as fast.
I just finished preaching an 8 day retreat to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at Trinity college; I made a point of telling them the positive influence their sisters had on my aunts and cousins who went to Julienne. (It was positive, wasn't it????)
Next week I'll be in Cincinnati going on a retreat. The theme of the retreat is Preaching the Just Word - it's all about how to preach homilies that are attentive to justice issues.
I return for a week, then out to Notre Dame for a Pastoral Liturgy conference. Then I come back and teach a week long course on Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal.
In early July I'm going to Florida to visit my parents (with a brief visit to Disney World on the way down). I'm back for a week,then off to Santa Clara CA for a conference on technology and education. Back here in time to attend the annual Salesian Conference (held this summer at Georgetown), then off to Canada for two weeks of fishing before starting class. No involvement in any movies this summer - at least not so far.
